By the time I was three years old, I had already lived in three countries. I grew up in Hong Kong, and have since lived and worked in Singapore, Sydney and the UK, running marketing across almost every region a business can operate in.
Moving between cultures before I could really talk taught me something no market research ever could.
Growing up between countries means you learn early that no two markets read a message the same way. A tone that lands warmly in one culture can fall completely flat, or worse, in another. That instinct for nuance, for the small shifts in language, trust signals and buying behaviour, has shaped everything about how I build brands and go-to-market plans today.
Earlier in my career, I launched HP's Applications Division across Europe, taking a new business line from a standing start to a functioning, revenue-generating market presence. I have since led regional marketing across APAC for Verizon Enterprise and HSBC, and worked hands-on with high-growth fintech and RegTech startups building from nothing. As Head of APAC Marketing Communications at Verizon Enterprise, I led regional brand, campaign, digital and content strategy across one of the world's most complex markets, and later built Laserfiche's first international marketing team and strategy, spanning APAC, Japan, India, Canada, Europe, the Middle East and LATAM.
Across almost every role, the pattern has been the same: I build teams and functions that move marketing from an admin task to a trusted strategic partner in the business, sitting alongside product and leadership, not behind them.
I understand the nuts and bolts of growing a business, from early ideation and product build through to go-to-market, not only the marketing layer on top of it.
Having grown up and worked across Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney and the UK, I bring a genuinely global lens, with a particular depth in Asia.
My core skill is helping a business uncover its true customer, voice and message, then integrating that consistently across channels and into new markets.
Alchemy is the process of taking something ordinary and turning it into something extraordinary, sometimes in a way that cannot fully be explained. That is what exceptional marketing does. It is built on data, curiosity and deep audience understanding, and finished with a touch of instinct that comes only from having done this for thirty years, in almost every market that matters.
